Hi, I’m Paula.

 

I’m a wife, a mother, a believer, and the photographer behind Fireside Photo Co. Most days you’ll find me with my family—baking with my kids, making a mess with arts and crafts, heading to the park, drinking entirely too much coffee, attending Holy Mass on Sundays, and trying my best to soak up a season of life I already know is going too fast.

 

Motherhood changed the way I see photographs.

 

It made me realize that the moments I want to remember most aren’t necessarily the big ones. They’re the way my children laugh together. The way they reach for us. The chaos, the tenderness, and all the little things happening in between. Those are the moments I find myself looking for when I pick up my camera. At a wedding, I’m watching the groom when he sees his bride. But I’m also watching her dad. I’m watching the guests during the vows. I’m looking for the hand squeeze, the tear someone quickly wipes away, and that giddy look between two people who just realized they’re finally married.

 

So much of what makes the day yours happens in between everything you planned.

My faith is at the heart of the way I see all of it. I believe marriage, family, and the people we love are gifts from God. Photography is a gift He’s given me, and I want to use it to glorify Him. So yes, I’ll guide you. I’ll make a plan, keep an eye on the timeline, fix the little things, and help you feel comfortable in front of my camera.

 

But then I want you to forget about me.

 

Be with your people. Laugh loudly. Hold each other. Let your kids be kids. Cry during your vows. Take in the fact that all the people you love are in one place. I’ll be paying attention. Because someday, the photographs won’t just show you what everyone wore or how beautiful everything looked. They’ll remind you of your dad’s face during your vows. The way your new husband looked at you when no one else was paying attention.

 

How little your children once were.

 

How hard you laughed.

 

How deeply you were loved.

 

That’s what I want to give you—photographs that don’t just show you what your life looked like, but bring you back to what it felt like to live it.
